Newbie

Hi,It is lovely to join this forum and chat to people who are going through the same as me. My name is Pam and I am 53 years old. I was diognosed with breast cancer in October 2014. Unfortunately it had also gone into the lymph nodes under my right arm.In January 2015 I was told that the breast cancer was in the bone in my left shoulder and recently I have found out that it is now also in my pevis(near my right hip) and the base of my spine,I was given 2-5 years. Last year I had six sessions of chemo,a masectomy and radiotherapy. I have a jab every four weeks to help strengthen my bones,Adcal(calcium/vit D)and tomoxifen.

The battle against cancer has been tough but I am now back at work in a job I love (had eight months off last year).I have so many wonderful family members and friends supporting me, I feel so lucky. As a family we have Miniature Shetland ponies and two mini cobs which we show at a local level and they have kept me going when times were hard.

I am determined to live life to the full and take whatever cancer throws at me on the chin. I will never give up and never give in.
