Thyroid Cancer

Anybody else with "the good" cancer!

xx

  • There's no such thing Kerri!
I'm sure having thyroid cancer is just as worrying as any other.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Kerryl, here I am! I had surgery 1 year ago and my papillary cancer was pT3(m)pN1aMx. It was a mess but after all, I can say to be almost fine now. And how are you doing?

  • Hi I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer a couple of weeks ago - i had my thryroid removed and it was found post op when they sent the thyroid off for testing - I have since read up a lot about thyroid cancer and am now waiting to see my consultant in 2 weeks having now had a CT scan ... how are you doing ?

  • Hi...

I've had two surgeries and completed a course of radio iodine therapy so medically I'm all done.

However, just come back from Wellbeing and Fatigue appointment and glad that someone knew that I'm not supposed to feel like this and yes I'm fatigued. Apparently all quite common and especially with thyroid cancers. Relying on synthetic thyroxine is never going to be the same.

But I don't intend this to sound dreary and the end of the world as it's really not...journey isn't over.
