Hello,
About a year ago my mother had noticed that she had been getting very bad headaches which usually affected her more in the mornings but she never thought anything of it as she was pregnant with my brother at the time and thought it was only maternal. 5 months ago she woke up in extreme pain in which she couldn't even open her eyes or move without feeling like her head was going to explode with pain. She repeatedly said that she felt a massive pressure on her head. She thought it was a bad migraine so I helped her out by looking after my 4 month old brother for the day while she stayed in bed to rest until my stepdad came home from work. It came to about 8 hours later around 5 o'clock in the evening and the pain had still not went away so my stepdad took my mum to the hospital to find out what was the problem. the doctors said that her symptoms sounded like she had viral meningitis, which at the time sounded bad enough. Later that evening after doing a CT scan and an MRI scan they had found a tumour in her brain in which they told her it looked like it had been there for a few years. They said it looked very serious so 3 days later she underwent very serious brain surgery in which they cut her head open from infront of her left ear the whole way over the othe other side of her head. She was so strong and still never thought anything of it and wanted to go home right away after it. So 4 days later she got home after recovering extremely well, until the next week she went back to get her test results back from the surgery and get the stitches out. She had been told that she has stage 4 glioblastoma brain cancer at the age of 33. That day everything in my family shattered into a million pieces and ever since then I can still not find a way to cope with all that has happened. I can't even imagine what my mum really feels like and I worry about her all day every day. I am 17 years old and am currently completing my A level exams but all I can think about is my mum and think about what I would do if she was gone. Please help me.
