Newly diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme grade 4

Just had the worst 4 weeks of my life. Still reeling from this diagnosis. Was a fit active 50 year old physiotherapist, wife and mother who had never been ill and looked after myself. Now my life and everyone else's around me has been turned upside down.

  • Hello Jackieb1,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I am sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis - it must have been a very long four weeks for you and it is normal that you are still feeling in shock at the moment.

I hope you will meet others on this forum who have recently been diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme. I thought I would point you in the direction of Lynn97's thread  . Her husband has also just been diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme and is waiting to start chemotherapy treatment. I will make her aware of your post too so you can get talking to each other.

If you ever need to speak to our expert nurses, you can ring them on this free number 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

We are all here for you anytime you need to talk.

    Best wishes,
