Gerryann

Hi everybody, 3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with inflamitary breast cancer that is also in my lymph nodes under my arm. It has been a very scary emotional roller coaster( I'm sure you have all been there) As this is very aggressive they have moved quickly, I have had biopsies ct scan and bone scan. Good news on Friday was it hasn't spread anywhere else. I have to have a meeting the early part of next week and fingers crossed start chemo by the end of the week. The oncologist said he will give me the strongest chemo they can After three months it will be surgery, radio treatment then after a year reconstruction. I live on my own , but my family are very supportive . I will fight and beat this

  • Hello Gerryann,

Welcome to our forum. Maybe you could change the title of your thread to something like 'diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer' ? This way our members who have experience of breast cancer will be able to spot your thread immediately.

Good news that it hasn't spread anywhere else and you sound like you are ready for treatment. I am glad you have a supportive family around you. Hopefully you will also make supportive friends here to accompany you throughout your treatment.

You can also ring our nurses if you have any questions. They are available Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5pm on this free number 0808 800 4040.
