Spread of breast cancer

Hi my name is Miranda and my mom was diagnosed with breat cancer since 2014. She has went through alot of treatments for this but recently the cancer has spread to her lungs. My dad has passed and I only have my mom and sister. Can metastic cancer be cured? I'm losing all hope as I wouldnt know what to do if anything were to happen with my mom.

Nobody, not family or friend knows what I'm going through. I'm simply lost and am tired of being strong. Please help.

    Hi Miranda, welcome to the forum, it's pretty quiet over the weekend but thought I'd say hi. Until you experience things yourself you can only ever imagine what people are feeling. Have you asked Macmillan for any support? I can't tell you whether it can be cured or not I'm afraid, are you able to see the consultant when your mum goes next time so you can I ask some questions and know what the plan is?

    im sorry to hear your worry and pain :(

     

    i imagine the doctors will be able to say if it can be cured but i do know someone who had cancer in the breast, lung and throat 3 years and she is still here.

    they got rid of most of it but its still in her lung but they keep it under control with chemo every month. so stay positive.
