Breast cancer has reoccurred in neck

Was diagnosed with hormone receptive BC in December 2009.  Chemo, surgery and radiotherapy followed by 5 years on tamoxifen.  Just after my fifth anniversary on tamoxifen, diagnosed with reoccurrence of BC in my neck.

Have been put onto monthly injections of zoladex and daily tabs of anastrozole.  I have a son who is 7 years old and am really frightened that I won't be here much longer to help him grow up.  It would be really nice to find someone who has had similar experience as it would be really nice to get some positive information, as opposed to all the negative stuff.  I'm finding it really  hard to be positive and enjoy anything at the moment.

  • Hello Nicky, I had hormone receptive b c in 2000, lumpectomy, 6weeks radio and 5years Tamoxifen. All fine for 15 years then starting feeling unwell Jan this year, so after many tests scans I have b c metastasis in lung and brain, I have had the brain one removed, to verify it was breast related . I have been on Letrozole ( hormone) like you for almost 6 months and my last scans showed some shrinking of the lung one so hope that helps  you. When you come onto this site you find there are many people in our position.Take care and all the best .
