Losing my mum

hello, my name is Penny, and I am finding it really hard to cope with seeing my mum's conditions getting worse every day - how on earth do you deal with something so hearbreaking x

  • Yes it is awful.

Make sure you talk to the palliative care team at the hospital when the time comes - I found them wonderful - it's their job to make peoples last days as easy and painless as possible - ask to see them, they can also answer any questions you might have about what it will be like - I really had no idea what to expect - funny really we talk incessantly about so many intimate things but never about dying - not really

Make the most of the most of your time togther and be there for your dad especially in the weeks that follow .

  • Hi. Yes we all seem to pass on those kind of subjects perhaps scared to. Yeah I intend to look after them both an do what I can. But no matter what people say you do feel awfully alone and useless. I guess life likes throw things atus. But all seems rather unfair. I do hope you are also being looked after an have plenty of people to talk too.

Hate to admit it but scared like I've never felt before. Life changing all round.

I guess we have to deal with things best we can. No matter how hard.
