Hi, I'm new here, Partner has only a few months.

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to say hello and talk to people who know what im going through. My partner 7 weeks ago was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic gastric carcinoma, with secondarys in the lymph nodes. She is fighting back well and our goal is xmas as its incurable and the prognosis/outlook for this cancer is dismal. If anyone else has any advice or thoughts on how to cope with all this and having to watch the person you love slip away. Please let me know:)

    Hi. So sorry to read about your partner. My mom has just been told she has 7 months but I have a hope she will it for longer. I hope your partner manages to fight it and you both have your Xmas together.

    Hi Tom,

    My partner passed on Nov 22nd, it was very sudden, she was discharged from hospital on thur, we foung out thur night-fri morn NHS chemist had forgotten to put in her pain management MST in her bag, she was in agony! She went back into the Royal on the Friday never regained consciousness and died on the Sunday, horribly, her poor cancer ridden body didn't recover from the shock and the final few weeks were taken away from us by the Wonderfull NHS??? I am devastated by trying one day at a time to come to terms with it.She was only 47 and died so horribly, today has been a bad day for me lets hope tomorow is better and her ray of sunshine is back in my memories!?

    Hi my name is Maria, I am new to this as well, so sorry about your partner just have to pray that she can get through this terrible and unforgivable disease. I was told in February this year that I have stage 2breast cancer with secondary bone cancer so no cure for me. But their is treatment at least.

    Hi everyone, thanks for all the kind words and wishes. It really is one day at a time for me at the moment. Maria I was reading your post and when you said secondary bone cancer you certainly caught my attention. From what you have said they have caught it early and it is treatable, for anyone who didn't know bone cancer is extremely painful.

    I know you will hear a lot of doom and gloom but fact you are in here is fantastic and shows how well your doing. You have one hell of a fight on your hands but you will be ok, even strangely in the short time Jean had she found incredible strength, as will you, face it head on every day, I'm sure you will and I honestly wish you all the happiness you can find, keep on top of those pain meds and make sure docs are on top of it.

    I wish with all my heart they had caught Jeans before it was in the lymphs and bones as it makes the prognosis much better Jean never gota chance so it would be nice to know what a diffrence it would have made?
