Lung cancer

Hi, my name is Marty. I was diagnosed with lung cancer in Jan 2015. They finally done surgery to remove it March 27, 2015. They removed 12 lymph nodes and 8 of them were cancer. May 6th I took one 8 hour treatment. side effects started about 9pm. By the next morning I had decided to go all natural ang never let that poison near me again. Now I have started getting blood clots from it. We will see if this is what's gonna kill me, the whole time thinking it will be the cancer. Nice to meet everyone.

  • Hi Marty, welcome to the forum but sorry for why you're here. I also have lung cancer, along with some other cancers, but so far I'm still kicking. I have had two major lung surgeries, (same lung) and now I have the cancer back in that lung. I'm waiting now to see what the plan is. I can't have chemo because when I had it before (for colon cancer) it nearly killed me. My blood levels went right out of sight and they can't give it to me again. It will likely be radiation because the surgeon said she can't operate on that lung again. I'm going to ask her when I see her again, why she didn't just take the lung out the first time around. I also have bladder cancer. Well hey, I guess I never did do anything half way before, why start now?

Has your treatment team suggested radiation for you? There may be other treatment options available for lung cancer, but I'm not sure what they may be. I hope they come up with something for you soon and get you back on your feet. Come back on the forum and let us know how you are getting along. I wish you well and good luck with whatever treatment they recommend.

    Take care.

  • Hi Lorraine, you have a lot going on. I don't understand why they can't remove the lung. I done one 8 hour chemo. It made me so sick I thought I was dying. I started all natural stuff. I have been on that since April. It seems to be doing ok. Now it's just these blood clots. I was originally suppose to have 4 chemo and two weeks of radiation everyday.
