Hi there I was diagnosed with rectum cancer three weeks ago and have been through all the tests possible.Mine is 10-15 cm up the rectum and I'm meeting with a surgeon Tuesday for a treatment plan I know it's a lot on board but until yr biopsy results come back try take each day has it comes some are harder then others.Be positive stay strong and let me know how things are going xx

Hi Nigel had a bit of a scare because they found a small area in my right breast which I had biospied had results yesterday was good news was a benign I have surgery planned now for the 19th October won't look forward to that but needs to be done.They found another area in my peritoneal but don't know if that's a cancer but hopefully remove it at same time.HOWS things with u have u had any further results yesterday was a bad day not knowing about biopsy so after good news I went to the pub lol.Let me know how yr getting on xxx

Sorry to hear about your dilemma hopefully it will all get sorted and back on your feet in no time.have got cat scan on the 06/October and MRI on the 09/October and possibly talk to surgeon on 14/October.happy days.it sounds like pubs and bad days go together. My husband was diagnosed with bowel cancer over two years ago. The first treatment he had was a 6 week course of radium treament along with oral chemo tablets. No problems at all. Life went on as normal. He then had his operation. Sadly, he did have to have a second operation 5 days later but was unlucky for this to happen. he took some time to recover and then had a course of chemo. He had to be very careful as he kept picking up infections. He is two years free of bowel cancer and doing well. Sadly, during his six monthly tests it was found that the cancer had spread to his liver. This was dealt with very quickly. Try not to be too stressed as bowel cancer can and is often cured. Good luck. Keep in touch.
