Hi Shelley, welcome to the forum, but sorry you lost your Nan to cancer. It sounds like you were really close to your Nan and I'm sure you miss her very much. Its' also very early on in your loss so I'm sure you feel that loss pretty deep right now. Your post caught my attention because of your name. I also have a granddaughter named Shelley and her and I are very close. Her father was my son and he died when Shelley was only 13 and she misses him so much. I also have lung cancer and had colon cancer almost 6 years ago as well. I also have bladder cancer now, but I'm in between surgeries and treatments and not feeling too bad right now. My granddaughter knows about all my cancers and she is very worried that I might die. I certainly will at some point, but hopefully not too soon. You don't say how old you are. My granddaughter is 25 and she just had her first baby 2 months ago - a little girl, Kelcy Marie. She is so beautiful and Shelley loves her so much.
I hope you have some good memories of your grandmom and that you will always have those close to your heart. It is really hard to lose someone we love when they die. I know that as time goes on, you will be less sad about the loss of your grandmom and will learn to start thinking about the good times you had with her.
Come back on to the forum and let us know how you are and tell us a little more about your grandmom and about some of the good times you two had when she was with you.
Sending you hugs.

Hi Lorraine, thank you for your reply.
I am 31 and i have a toddler who will be 2 on 2nd Oct. My nan loves him so mum, and breaks my heart she is no longer around.
I hope you are feeling ok, and thank you for taking the time to leave me a message.
