  • Hi Katie

Welcome to this supportive and friendly forum.Brian

  •

Hi Katie and welcome.  I hope in time that you feel able to relate a little of your story so that others in the same situation can share information and support you.  If you click on the 'search forum' area on the purple strip above and type in your subject matter, previous discussions will be shown and you can read through them and join the discussion if you feel it is relevant.  Speak soon x

  • Thanks Brian.

Really nice of you to respond x

  • Hi,

Thank you for the repsonse. I have actually looked for other sufferers and there is someone slightly older with pretty much the same as me, although their post was a year - 2 years ago and there is no photo o their profile. Is there any way of contacting them or finding out if they still use this site. Would love to talk to them. x

  • Hi

Welcome to the forum.  Even if posts are a little dated you can still respond by clicking on the last response (red reply button) in the hope that they may still 'read and respond'.  If the moderators pick up your post they may be able to offer other links that could be of interest to  you.  You can also try putting the area you are interested in in the title of your post as then others may pick up on it.  Hope  you are doing okay.Jules54  x

  • Hey,

Im really confused to be honest and cant see how a cancer forum has hardly any posts for what i am going through. I just dont feel the happy busy vibe as to some other kind of facebook pages etc. I found a post by two users one a year ago and another 2 years ago for my exact thing and seems they no longer use this site :(

  • I am sorry that you feel sad and confused as there are no recent posts for the type of cancer you are suffering with.  Of course, the forum relies on others ''users'/sufferers/carers posting their own journies and perhaps, if you have specific questions relating to your illness you could pop a post on the ask the nurses section or give them a ring on the freephone (within the UK) number on this page Mon to Fri 9-5.  There is also the option to contact a moderator direct (left hand column which shows all the different posting areas).  Some readers do not always visit regularly as their own situations may change and they may not wish to discuss things on an open forum.

From a personal viewpoint I have been very well supported for nearly three years (both during my husband's journey with Mesothelioma and following his death in January 2015) by some lovely people  though only a couple of them had personal knowledge of his specific cancer.

As it's only the first day of your posting will keep fingers crossed that other may soon read your entry and get back to you.  Regards  Jules

  • Was pleased to read that you  have made contact with another forum member who has knowledge of what you are going through and hope it will help you in your own journey as she had such a good outcome to her treatment/surgery.  Wishing you all the very best and hope you will feel able to let the forum know how you are managing.Jules
