Hi Thimble, welcome to the forum, but so sorry to hear that your Dad, at 84 yrs. of age has now been diagnosed with this terrible disease. I'm hoping he's reasonably well at this point and hopefully can enjoy the time he has left. I also hope that you have other family/friends around you for support for both of you. Come on to the forum any time and keep us posted on how you and your Dad are getting along.
Take care and give your Dad a big hug from me.

Hi Lorraine, yes my Dad has been unwell ,but they have put a stint in the tumour and things are working normally at mo. We lost my mum to cancer 9 years ago,so we have seen such pain.on the plus side we dance together,he manage ok with this.iHis knees give him problems so I am taking him swimming ,plus steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi ,hope this will help him to stay mobile for as long as he can.I try and leave my tears at home not when I'm with him, people say he has a good innings ,but I wanted to go to sleep when he was done not suffer this terrible cancer.
