Hi there

Can anyone please enlighten me as to whether I should have blood taken from arms. I have lymphoedema in both arms and recently had cellulitis in the right arm. The plebotomy dept at my local hospital won't take blood from my foot/leg, saying it is just protocol. No one seems to be very aware on the risks involved when I mention this. What do other sufferers do as an alternative? I would really appreciate any advice as I get so frustrated trying to explain this to medical staff who seem to be unaware of the risks.
