Hi there,

I was diagnosed with Tubular breast cancer grade one in my left side and Invasive Lobular breast cancer grade two in the right. I then had an MRI to confirm it all before having surgery in March.

Although I am futher down the road than you, those initial days of helplessness and worry are still very fresh and, like you, I wanted to know any and every detail.

I am glad you are a happier person than you were before ,I guess this sort of thing does wake us up.We usually tend to think we are immortal ,even though common sense and losing our loved ones should make it abundantly clear ,we are anything but immortal.

Thank you for your reply,and your information. So like you say ,you are that bit further on than myself .However like you also say ,it is still fairly new to you too, the worries the fears etc.

I hope you go on well with your treatment ,I should know tomorrow what they are going to give me .

At least last week they said if it is the type they think it is I would be given tablets.

But I still won`t know the reuslts of the CT tomorrow, or of the bone scan I have next Monday.

I will get there ,it is like Brian says about the emotions.

Many thanks for your posting and kind words.

I guess I really am an IMP ,or at least so I am told often enough.

Yes Debbie I too find the emotional parts harder ,I had my results yesterday of most of the tests,but still got another 3 to come back.

I did the CT scan last night ,and have a bone scan next Monday ,so waiting for those results to come back . so sometime next week I should get those two, and I am not sure what the other one is for .

They results I have got are good ones,I am being prescribed Tablets as it is the hormone based type .

I too have a good hospital,with very good nice Consultants ,Doctors and nurses . This does make a huge difference

I hope all goes well for you on the 19th,but I am sure it will do. keep in touch and let me know how you are doing please

Hi Millyimp,

Great new that the results you have had so far are good, I am very happy for you.

I had my bone scan this morning and there was nothing to it, just a few minutes and no funny angles, just lay flat on my back. The scan was done because like you I will be on hormone tablets shortly.

Off for my first radiotherapy session this aternoon after enjoying watching the weeds grow in the garden!
