If you haven't done so already get your *** into gear and see your GP today. Four days have passed since you first posted.

Don't faff about waiting for a routine appointment, ring them and tell them it is urgent and you need to be seen today. No ifs, no buts, get it done. Sorry, but I don't do sensitive when someone's delaying this - the sooner you are diagnosed the better.

If it is cancer the sooner treatment starts the better your chances of survival. I wish I had been to see my GP a lot earlier than I did. 

If it isn't cancer, you will avoid worrying for weeks until you pluck up the courage to go in. A simple blood test may be all that is needed.

quick update. I have had it checked and Dr believes it may be a cist. I have been put forward for a scan to see if it is cancer. Thank you for the kick in the right direction Dave. Was needed. Thanks.

Hi Max, no date yet. I hope to be contacted soon. I am giving until tomorrow if I don't hear anything then I'm going to phone  them. Don't like waiting games.

Thanks for letting us know.  Good luck - hope its soon so that you can put this all behind you.  Has there been any changes in the lump?  My son-in-law was also given antibiotics in this interim period in case it was an infection.  The scan gave him the all clear - mighty relief all round, which is why I have every thing crossed for you too! x
