i am new to this site, my husband has bladder cancer G3, my dad has terminal leukaemia so things are'nt great at the moment. My husband is half way through his first dose of BCG. X
Hi Jay 24 - what a bright greeting from you with all this going on in your life. You hint at the pain with your dad and hubby both ill with cancer. You must be so brave! Well we are here to walk with you on this Un wanted journey. So walking along we offer you hugs and support. The are quite a few people on here with experience of cancer. I suppose all of us really. So you will feel held if you want to let off steam some times.
Hi Jay, welcome to the forum and I'm sure that given a choice, you would rather not be dealing with cancer at all. As all of us here on Cancer Chat would wish we had a choice, but because we don't, we are really glad this forum is here. People on here are either dealing with a diagnosis of cancer themselves, or they're caring for a loved one with it. You will find that there are caring and supportive people on here, regardless of their reason for being here, so you've come to the right place. I see Steven has already welcomed you and there will be others come along too.
For me, I have cancer myself, (3 kinds) one of which is bladder cancer and I am on the same road your husband is now on. This is the place to be, so come on here any time you want to chat, or just to make connections with people in the same situation as you. There is lots of good information on this site too if you want to learn more about your husband's bladder cancer, and also what may be available for your Dad's leukemia. In the process of supporting your husband and Dad, don't forget to look after yourself. As caregivers, we often forget that we can't help others if we don't care for ourselves.
