firstly so sorry to hear your news i have not long found out that i have cancer to so i know how you feel and secondly welcome to the forum. i have only been on here a few times since receiving the news but i have found everyone so nice and helpful. just to know that there is someone to talk to that truly understands what you are going through helps an awful lot. just got to be positive now its been found and the right people are there to help you all the way. just keep us posted and look after yourself Ryan
Hi sorry that you've joined us but glad you've found us! This site has bee a great help to me.
My hubby had this op in 2008 (radical ) aged 58 and has just retired. It took him several months to get back to normal but has been well since. Investigation Aug onwards - op in Nov.
It sounds as if you have been caught early as you have been offered the op - if it has spread other treatment options I think would have been offered. Prostate cancer treatment varies so much depending on the stage you are at when diagnosed, took us some time to get our heads around it.
