Welcome to Cancer Chat and thank you for telling us about you and your cancer. It is only natural to be feeling nervous about your forthcoming op. I cant answer your questions I'm afraid but I would just say that people on this site are very friendly and supportive. If at anytime you want to talk please come back on here for it's so much easier to talk to someone on here than it is than family or friends for people on here know its often not easy to talk about cancer.

just want to welcome you to cancerchat and say hi until you get posts from people who would no more about the answers to your questions!! I'm not surprised you've become nervous about your operation and it's hard being dependant on others when your usually in control and private!! I hope getting some answers will ease your mind!!

Waiting is always quite difficult for most people and makes for more time to think!! I wonder if your named nurse could help or the nurses here. Mine are usually always willing to talk concerns through especially about decisions which are difficult!!

I hope you will find the site supportive and am sure you will receive more responses!! Please come back and let us know how your doing!!

Hi Maggie. Have just read your post re cancer. Unfortunately, I seem to be in same boat as you were few years ago. Am due for partial open nephectomy in 2 wks and very nevous. Could you give me some idea of what to expect as even though i have read loads about it, would like to hear from someone who`s been through it. Hope u getting on well now x
