Lung Cancer Surgery - does anyone have any tips or advice for a right upper lobectomy?

Hello, I am new to this Forum but a regular on MacMillan Bladder Cancer Forum. I am due to undergo a Right Upper Lobectomy in the next few weeks. I would be grateful for any insights and recommendations from patients who have the same treatment. Thank you

  • A very warm welcome to the Cancer Chat community Garviv, although I'm sorry to hear about your lung cancer.

This must be a rather unsettling and anxious time but I hope this information we have about having a right upper lobectomy will help to put your mind at ease about what's to come.

Hopefully some of our members who have had this surgery will share their tips and advice with you soon but if you have any further questions, or would just like to talk things through with someone, then do give our cancer nurses a call. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to help you in the run up to your surgery.

If you're feeling up to it, do let us know how things go. We're wishing you the very best of luck and a speedy recovery afterwards.

    Kind regards,
