My lumpectomy incision was made around my areola which is at the lowest part of my breast(droopy boobs), Supposedly for cosmetic reasons which I said I am not bothered about (I am 75). All the excess fluid moved down to my wound and made it very puffy. I feel the incision should have been higher to give a better recovery. I voiced this at my review to the stand in surgeon and it was dismissed out of hand, I felt ignored.  There was no discussion beforehand so I would advise asking as they should have known what would happen.️
