I'm sorry to hear that you've been through treatment for throat cancer. I know from the many posts I've read here in the Cancer Chat community over the years how harsh this treatment can be, and the side effects of radiotherapy that you've described are very common. 

Although 6 weeks can feel like a long time, you are still relatively early days into your recovery, and many of the members who have undergone similar treatment have shared how it took quite some time for things to settle and return to some degree of a new normality. 

You might find it useful to have a look through this thread about radiotherapy for throat cancer where some of those experiences have been shared over the years. 

Naturally, you want the tube out as soon as possible. In the meantime, try and focus on the positives that it is bringing to you, such as the nutrition it's giving to help your body recover and heal.
