I just wanted to wish you the best of luck for the start of your radiotherapy next week. I hope it all goes well and that you will hear from other members of our community who have had radiotherapy for breast cancer. It is normal to feel nervous when starting a new treatment and not knowing exactly what to expect and it can help to hear from others who have been there before and come out the other end after treatment finished.
You are definitely not alone here and I hope that someone will be along soon to share their radiotherapy experiences with you. If you do a forum search for 'radiotherapy for breast cancer' you will be able to find past relevant threads from others who have had radiotherapy for breast cancer and don't hesitate to respond to any you feel you would like to engage with. Just one example, Tinafred posted this thread 4 months ago on being about to start radiotherapy for breast cancer - 4 months down the line she may be in a position to tell you more about how it went so don't hesitate to drop her a line if you wish. It's important to bear in mind though that experiences and side effects will vary from one person to another but it's always nice to talk to someone else who has been in a similar place as you are now and who will be able to know exactly how you are feeling at the moment having been through something similar themselves.
