Hi I was diagnosed in December 2024 with kidney cancer in February 2025 I had a nephrectomy followed by 12 months of immunotherapy which finished in April this year. I am still having 3-4 monthly CT scans chest abdo and pelvis they have spotted 2-3 very tiny lesions in my lungs, last consultant visit in May this year said he was happy no cancer in my body but will continue with scans, last scan early Aug saw a different consultant yesterday who said he thinks “ the lesions are likely to be connected to the kidney cancer “- there are 3 the biggest is 6mm so too small to biopsy.! Yesterday he suggested I could have targeted therapy, but with many side effects, his advice was to continue with the scans and have treatment when it is needed more. 
so my questions are …. 
do I take his advice and just wait ? 
has anyone had targeted therapy? How bad are the side effects? 
I know this cannot be answered accurately but about how long will I live with this without treatment? And with treatment?  
Am I looking at months or years?
