I found a lump in my right breast and my nipple keeps retracting on same breast, Am I just being paranoid?

Hi everyone, Doctor referred me straight to breast clinic and I'm just waiting for the call now.

I found a lump very deep like in the center (under nipple) but as I said it's really deep so can take a few attempts to find. And it's so strange but half of my nipple has started to invert, sometimes worse and sometimes it's only slightly inverted. 

Now not only that but I'm thinking about other issues I've been having, I'm really chesty at the moment, breathing is tough on my chest, my bones in my ribs mainly on the same side of breast lump are aching and painful when I breathe. I'm also getting tingling and fatigue in the arm/hand on the same side of my breast lump and I'm just overall tired, my scalp hurts too all over my head and it's all come on around the same time and gradually got worse. 

Are these other symptoms maybe connected? Or am I just being paranoid? I'm really scared, I'm 25, recently become a single mum, I have two children one who is disabled and needs around the cloc re. I'm terrified of finding out I have breast cancer and what that might mean for my children. I just want to be prepared if my symptoms seem like I'm likely to have cancer. So just asking for ice really. Sorry if I seem paranoid xx

    A very warm welcome to our forum.

    I am sorry to hear about your symptoms, but glad to hear that you have seen your GP and been referred to the breast clinic. I am not a medic, so cannot really answer your question fully, but thought that I'd reply, as our nurses won't be back until Monday - they are not here at the weekend. Having been through this wait a few times myself, I know how anxious we become. We also tend to give reign to our over active imaginations, which can take us to some very dark places.

    I am not sure if any of your other symptoms are connected, but the routine tests carried out at the breast clinic will usually determine this. It would be unusual for someone of your age to have breast cancer, but unfortunately, not impossible. It is also unusual to have pain associated with breast cancer, although there's the exception to every case. Make sure to mention all these extra symptoms to the consultant when you attend your appointment.

    It sounds as if you have a lot on your plate at present, so, I sincerely hope that all turns out well for you. Here's hoping that your appointment comes through soon. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Thankyou, I think I'm just spiralling at the moment. I appreciate you getting back to me that definitely makes me feel Abit better. I will update when. I hear from the breast clinic xx
