Hi Janjayme and a warm welcome to Cancer Chat, 

I am so sorry to hear that healing has been slow and painful following your emergency hemicolectomy and that they have found cancer in your caecum. I hope that you make a full recovery and that you are not in too much pain. I can imagine it is a bit of a frustrating time for you waiting to heal fully but also having to wait for your histology results and I hope that you won't have to wait much longer for these important results.

While you are waiting, I thought I would share with you these helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for important news. I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have also had a hemicolectomy and a similar diagnosis and that they will be along shortly to share their experience with you.
