I’ve been posting my Blogs on various social media platforms for a few days and somebody has suggested I should share on other forums, including this one.

I wanted be to write a blog, but not sure that this will turn into such a thing, but anyway… my logic is to maybe be of help, definitely to give thanks to people around me and maybe to help anybody else out there who might be going through similar.

We’ve all hit the proverbial brick wall, I’ve hit mine over the weekend, but for good reason.

Very long story short, I’m now half way through a programme of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy, my second mini battle with Cancer having been through Prostate Cancer nine years ago.

The treatment is fierce, daily Radiotherapy and a weekly hit of Chemo takes its toll to say the least, but always in the back of my mind I’m hanging on to the words of one nurse… “we’re going at this with Curative Intent”, in other words they’re gonna zap the b******, the b****** being a tumour in my neck.

I’ll drop regular updates, and will probably start my next update from the beginning of this little journey… anybody going through similar, let’s chat? Anybody need a shoulder, let’s chat? Anybody worrying about ‘something suspicious’ going on with your body, let’s chat? It’s good to talk…

Tomorrow’s update will take us back to earlier this year, Friday 6th March to be precise.

PS. Those of you that know me well, you’ll know that I’ve taken part in a few challenges in the past to raise money for Charity… well guess what, I’ll be coming up with another fundraiser in the not too distant future
