I'm sorry to hear your husband has advanced bowel cancer and that you're feeling rather isolated and alone. It must be very difficult to cope with this on your own, especially when your husband doesn't want to talk about it and is taking out his anger and frustration about his diagnosis on you. I hope this information we have about how cancer can make you feel will give some insight into how your husband may be feeling at the moment but it's important that you take care of yourself at this time as well.

If you haven't done so already, maybe you could go to your GP and see what local support services are available in your area for people who are supporting a loved one with cancer. You could also get in touch with Bowel Cancer UK and/or the cancer charity Maggie's which offers free expert care and support online and in centres across the UK to anyone that has been affected by cancer.

Hopefully some of our members will stop by soon to share their experiences and advice but in the meantime you're very welcome to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses on 0808 800 4040. The helpline is open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to support you and address any other worries or concerns.
