hello, i’m lottie.

i’ve just, today started my treatment to get this nasty sucker into close to remission to enable me to have a second round. I’m 38 not sure if that changes numbers.

i would love everyone’s experience with dealing with this type and using FLAG + IDARUBICIN+ VENETOCLAX.

I wish everyone on any journey love and strength.

  • Hello Lottie

I'm sorry to hear that you've been diagnosed with AML with MECOM. I hope that as you start treatment, you're feeling well supported by the specialists involved in your care.

I've had a look through the forum and can't see that we have any other members who have posted with the same diagnosis, but we do have information about the treatments you've mentioned on our drug information page. It may be that you're able to connect with others who have this type of AML through a specific blood cancer charity such as Blood Cancer UK.

If it would help to talk with one of our team of nurses at any point, you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

I hope that things progress smoothly for you Lottie. Do keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
