Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
I’m recently diagnosed and although relieved that I’ve got a diagnosis, I’m sad that it took so long but it happens.
Hoping that you are all enjoying the nice weather

Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm glad you have a diagnosis but sorry it took time for you to get it. I hope things are improving for you now you have that.
Oh, this weather is lovely but so hot to try to sleep in the nights. Gill xx
Hi Seawatcher,
A very warm welcome to the forum.
I am sorry to hear that you have finally had a cancer diagnosis. Can you tell us a little more about your type of cancer and the delay?
We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
I’ve had all the upstairs windows open and left the doors open for the cooler air to circulate.
Ive also got a tower fan that has different settings and a timer it’s a life saver! I got it from Amazon a few years ago, I think the brand is BRANDSON
It’s stage 4 metastatic breast cancer HER 2 positive.
It started with an inverted nipple in about 2019 maybe earlier, I flagged this at each mammogram. I also flagged it at a health screening through work, the doctor felt a lump and I had another mammogram, calcifications were detected and I was supposed to have a stereotactic biopsy…when I arrived at the hospital the doctor said that it would be awkward to access so didn’t do it. Since then I’ve had cording at the side of the breast, usually associated with previous breast surgery. Had another mammogram but it had resolved by the follow up appointment.
I was told that the cording was probably a thrombosis of the blood vessel but no further investigations.
Early January this year I developed a rash around the nipple, 3 weeks later I saw the GP and here I am

Hi Seawatcher,
You must feel devastated that it has taken so long to get a diagnosis, especially after flagging up your symptoms so often! What treatment have you had so far and do you have good support? You will find this forum a great source of information, advice and support.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
