  • Hi Nikkivjohns

It is always a worrying time when you are referred for tests but your gp is being very vigilant. I had a huge bleed after 5 years without a period. I was referred for an internal ultrasound and there were no abnormalities found. The consultant told me that this can happen occasionally without any particular cause. I then had bleeding on and off for about 3 years before I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and have now been disease free for 3 years. Try not to worry until you have all the facts. If it is cancer you have acted very quickly and hopefully it will be at an early stage. I’m sending you hugs I know how you must be feeling at the moment but the sooner the tests are out of the way the better you will feel.
