Half way through chemo and wanted to say Hello!

Evening all, thought I'd give this a go and say hello.

I'm almost half way into my chemo treatment and I am doing pretty good so far.   The side effects are like clockwork so I expect the worse and then mentally I think and feel it's not so bad.

It's a tough journey folks but being positive definitely helps and thankfully I have a great group of friends thats have helped me so far

Hope this little messege helps at least one person smile

Stay gold

  • Hi Djvglobal, I grew up in the 80s, you're so right no phones or internet has made me also more socially capable of interaction with people person to person (Unlike most youngsters born now.) I have never asked for help my entire life (But I think I have been born into a toxic family, who only seem to care about money.) But recently I had a Macmillan cancer buddy who called me once a week for 6 weeks (She was like a breath of fresh air/So positive.) We need to look after ourselves now, and if your like I have always been stop putting others 1st, its time to put ourselves 1st now. I was diagnosed with CLL, which is a pain in the *** (Not literally) as I intended to start up my own little business, but timing has ?uggered that up.

My God you've ticked 99% off your bucket list, well done. So good to hear from someone who appears positive on here, Oh I only meant to say Hello :)

    • Hiya.
    • Thanks for the reply and we are very very similar as to the reasons for  me not asking for help, I tend to just park that now (cant change the past and all that) and as a result whatever drama I'm faced with I always think there's someone in a much worse position and although that's difficult at times it seems to be working as I feel I'm just winging this cancer stuff but thankfully I've loads of positive comments from here and friends which is such a moral boost and even being outgoing and sociable it's definitely needed
  • Good to hear, we need to enjoy life. I think that is what being diagnosed does to us, but that's a good thing, because we don't take things for granted. :)
