In limbo - cancer found during my colonoscopy. I will be seeing my consultant tomorrow to find out more

Hi. I had a colonoscopy last week and they found cancer. And that’s pretty much all I know - cancer partially blocking my colon.   

Tomorrow I’m seeing the consultant. Longest week ever but I’ve gone from sheer panic to resignation about what will or may happen.

on the plus side I’ve remembered to be grateful for all the good things I have in my life.

    I know this must be an incredibly scary and worrying time, but our community is here for you and hopefully some of our members who have been on this journey will stop by soon to share their experiences and advice.

    I do hope the consultant was able to put your mind at ease about your bowel cancer diagnosis and the treatment that lies ahead but if you have any further questions or would just find it helpful to talk this all through with someone then do give our cancer nurses a call.
