Feeling lonely and stressed - been waiting 5 weeks for my lymph node biopsy results. It's taking it's toll and making me feel so low

I’ve have a WLE and lymph node biopsy in my groin in January. I’ve been waiting 5 weeks for lymph node biopsy results. I’m feeling very lonely and stressed. It’s difficult to make people understand just what I’ve been though and feel that no one understands. It’s taking its toll and making me so low. I have a seroma in my groin and it’s very restrictive. I feel there is just no end to this nightmare.

  • Hello Mumofgirls3,

Thank you for posting and sharing how you’re feeling.

It sounds like the past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for you, and it’s completely understandable that waiting for your lymph node biopsy results is taking a real toll. Many people in similar situations find it helpful to reach out, even just to share how hard it is, as you’re doing now. While it can be difficult for others to fully understand what you’ve been through, talking to people who have had similar experiences or to those in supportive roles can sometimes make the wait feel a little more manageable. With that in mind I’m glad you decided to post, and I hope some of our members will be here shortly to offer support.

If you would like to speak to someone with a medical background, our nurses are available to listen and offer support. They can be reached on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

I hope your results come through soon and that your symptoms ease. When you feel ready, please do come back and update us. We’ll be thinking of you.

    Warm wishes,
