Hello Haddock
I'm sorry to hear that you had surgery for rectal cancer a few months ago. I hope that things went smoothly and that you have recovered physically without too many problems.
There are so many things to consider when someone is asked to make a decision about possible treatment options. Everyone's circumstances are different, and I'm sure you had many reasons for deciding that chemotherapy wasn't the right route for you at that point.
I know that many people will recognise the internal struggle of "but what if" that comes after a cancer diagnosis. Hopefully, with time, and support from health professionals, family and loved ones, you'll find your way forward.
If it would help to chat with our nurses at any point, you're most welcome to give them a call. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
Sending my best wishes for a continued recovery,
Jenn
