Hello. I have just joined and I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Claudie and I live in Somerset. Last November I had a  routine scan that showed a mark on my lung and a few weeks later I was at the hospital for a biopsy. On tuesday of last week I was due to have keyhole surgery so that the top part of my left lung could be removed but I had internal bleeding so they had to do a full opening to remove it. Hopefully they've been able to remove all the cancerous tissue and I feel very fortunate that it happened very quickly. *** for everybody else, recovering is tricky and I now know I took for granted all the strength and full movement I had before. I think today is the first day I've cried, from fear of the future, and because I wanted to be strong for my family. I thought I'd speak to other people going through the same and much worse.  Wherever you are, I hope that you can be treated and that  you have people around you.
