I can't say I find any aspects of my cancer or treatment funny but I do make dark jokes about myself and my cancer however not about other people.
Multiple surgeries, several hospital and GP visits a month, medication, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, constant pain, declining physical ability, mental health problems, trying to keep positive to spare the feelings of friends and family. All conspire to be able to find anything funny about cancer. However I do enjoy life, see the funny side of things and laugh a lot.

You do get a dark sense of humour which comes across as a bit sick sometimes. Everyone knows what a terrible disease it is but only someone who has it truly understands what we are living with. I'm lucky in the fact that I see the funny side of things which helps me in the dark times. You have to live one day at a time,I'm post treatment(Myelofibrosis) but I've ended up with 100% female blood DNA (I'm male)which I find hilarious and play on it at 3very chance.

Hi Landys3
Cancer is so serious if you didn't laugh you'd cry. While many friends think some of my observations are beyond the pale those with cancer just get it. Making fun of my own situation helps me mentally beat cancer.

Gallows humour eh?
Gallows humour. I guess that a good description of the type of humour. I am entrigued how your blood DNA is now female after treatment. But I can see the endless mischevious fun you can make with this fact. I hope you are getting on OK and your treatment is giving you better health.
