I'm 72 and have NHL - SMZ. Treatment has been difficult but finally found a chemo that's ok for me

Hi I'm new on here.  Im 72 and have Non Hodgkin's lymphoma  - Splenic marginal zone.  I had 4 session of rituximab but this was discontinued and allergic reaction. Then tried then tried another treatment- that resulted in bruises everywhere. Next came bendamustine but I ended up in hospital for 10 days with breathing difficulties.  Now I'm on chlorambucil which seems to be ok. Having problems sleeping so am still a aka at 3.30am

  • Hello Clance

I'm sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with NHL. It sounds like it's been a bit of a rollercoaster finding a treatment that you can tolerate, but I'm glad to hear that you finally seem to be settled on Chlorambucil
