I am new to this site. I wonder if anyone has a similar situation. I had lung cancer 2 year ago. Caught very early and successfully resected. On my routine scan a new cancer had been found in the mediastinal glands but its squamous and different from my original cancer. They can’t find the primary source. They want to treat as oesophageal and give me radiotherapy and chemo treatment over 5 weeks. I had hoped for surgery but they won’t do that. I know the area is close to heart so a concern for surgery. Biopsy show no cancer in the oesophagus but the side effects will cause issues there. Has anyone had this experience?
