Hip pain

I had lymph node clearance on the left side & radiotherapy 5 years ago for lobular cancer.Followed by 3 year programme of Zometa infusion. The day after the first Zometa inf I had the most excruciating pain in my left hip and could barely walk or weightbear.Following that I would be troubled by a little niggle at times in that hip.Around 2 years after that had my Oncologist suggested an X-ray as pain was troublesome in case of old fracture caused by Zometa which proved inconclusive and the pain returned to being a niggle and non restrictive to my mobility.I’m very active and keep well.

Two years ago had wide local excision on right breast for several precancerous areas which were deep and close to chest wall. No further treatment was required and no problems since ,continuing on Exemestane .Around a month ago I developed acute pain in my left hip which can be present at rest ,sitting or standing and on certain movements but oddly not present all the time. It is however a deep pain and can stop me in my tracks when mobile and gnawing when sitting etc. No relief from Ibuprofen and/or Paracetamol. It feels like there is also a significant bony prominence at the head of the femur where the pain is mainly.

I attended my yearly follow up last week so have not consulted my GP as hoped it would be addressed by Nurse Practitioner there.( I admit it’s been a concern and has caused a few sleepless nights, Don’t want to sound like a drama queen) I’ve also had periodic nausea, tiredness and troublesome muscle cramps frequently and muscle

Was advised by Breast Nurse Specialist who spoke very briefly about it at end of consultation, didn’t examine me or suggest x ray/bloods etc “ to stop Exemastane for 6 weeks then will review” Keep on the analgesia ( which I had already mentioned were ineffective)

This is a very different pain to the joint pain which I have have both with Letrozole and Exemastane and I have never let that pain compromise my activities.
I now feel more anxious , any advice would be appreciated.

With thanks
