CLL

Hi just been diagnosed with CLL it’s being monitored at the moment just not sure what’s in the future?

  • Join the club.  Have you seen a Haematologist yet?

for me that really help me understand the disease. A lot depends on your age. I am under BUPA and have been assigned an oncology nurse and she is wonderful.

  • Depends on your age. Someone older will never have treatment.

watch and wait for me was 2 years. Then chemotherapy, which was quite nasty 2009. But now it’s just getting better and better every year.some really good drugs about now. Six cycles of rituximab with ventoclax should put you into remission.

    good luck

  • Hi Jeff

I have CLL too, have no idea what's in the future, I live for today now.

Have found out that any exercise is the best aid we can do for ourselves. But depending on your own fitness, what exercise you can do?

Please don't quote me on this as I am not a Professional with CLL, But I think the reason exercise may help us is that exercise strengthens the immune system, and reduces tiredness.

I am learning about CLL as diagnosed 1 year 9 months ago now.

I have heard that exercise is better to help our bodies cope with CLL than going on pills for the rest of our lives, which doesn't always help.
