Sinal Sheath tumour

Hi, thanks for adding me.

I havesuffered for years with my back and most recent years numbness, tingling and heaviness in my left leg. I also had some bladder and bowel problems. So I has a another scan. Eightish weeks later I get a phone call (few days ago), that they have discovered a sheath tumour and need to get ball rolling for another scan etc. Are these done pretty quick or? Given my symptoms and malignant sheath tumours in the family/plus very high fare of cancer as a whole what do you guys think ? Thank you in advance. Xx

  • Hi Jax6619 and welcome to the forum.

I'm really sorry to hear about all the symptoms you've been contending over the years; it sounds like it's been very tough, and that a sinal sheath tumour was found on your scan.

Unfortunately I can't answer your questions, but if you have a contact number for the department who got in touch with you to discuss your results, you could try giving them a call to ask them about this. It might be a bit tricky but at some point over the festive period you could try getting in touch with your GP about this as well as they may be able to chase this up for you.

Our members know how challenging it can be waiting for more tests to take place, especially over Christmas, so hopefully you will receive some support and advice from the community soon.

If you want to talk any of this through with one of our cancer nurses, you can do so on 0808 800 4040. They're phone lines are usually open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m, but as it's the Christmas holidays they will be unavailable between 24th - 26th December and New Year's Day.

We're thinking of you Jax6619, and will have our fingers crossed you won't have to wait too long to find out what happens next.

    Kind regards,
