Calprotectin over 2000

I am new here ,I've been having bowel issues for weeks now ,had a colonoscopy that showed inflamation but biopsies said no to crohns but now still struggling and my Calprotectin test has come back at over 2000 the GP was shocked. and said the test wont go higher than that. Can crohns be higher up than the colonoscopy show

  • Hello nerak24

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having some on going concerns with your bowel recently and that the initial investigations you've had haven't given a clear diagnosis. It's positive to hear that the colonoscopy didn't give any immediate cause for concern but obviously this has left you still with lots of unanswered questions.

Do talk with your GP about what the next steps will be regarding the inflammation that was shown and how the cause can be identified. Hopefully then the GP will be able to set you on the right pathway to improving your symptoms.

I hope things improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
