A year on - diagnosed with lung cancer end of July. Had surgery but been having issues ever since and I've only had 1 follow up in 15 months

Hi

I don't know where to start really. Here goes. I got diagnosed end of July last year with lung cancer. They found it by chance when doing a CT scan on my heart.

10 mm speculated nodule upper lobe left lung.  2 inch with in 3 weeks . surgery done with in 2 weeks of that. Upper left lobe lymph nodes and some airways into lung removed.

Having issues ever since surgery and only 1 follow up with surgeon in the 15 months

  • A very warm welcome to the forum Feelinglost although I'm sorry about the issues you've been having since your lung cancer surgery last year.

This must be very frustrating, even more so when you've only had one follow up appointment with your surgeon in the last 15 months, but I hope it helps to know that lots of our members know how difficult life can be after having surgery as well, so you are not alone, and hopefully some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice.

I hope this section of our website that offers information and advice on living with lung cancer will be useful but if it would help to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, you can do so on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They will do all they can to answer your questions and help you at this time.

In the meantime, we're sending you all our strength and support and we really do hope things start to get better for you soon.

    Kind regards,
