It is normal to worry after receiving a positive FIT test but it's important to remember, as mentioned on our page on the FIT test, that there are many other conditions that can trigger a positive FIT test so try not to worry too much if you can.

Hi Zany52, I had a positive FiT test 2 months ago and was terrified. It turned out to be fine as do most positive fit tests so try to remember that. Waiting is hell. I'm just waiting for a breast biopsy and the all the anxiety has returned so I know it's easier said than done when someone says try not to worry.
