Bless you there are lots of positive treatments or operations amazing support have just had my 4th lung cancer operation Lobectomy on right lung 2020 wedge resection on left lung 2023 good recovery able to carry on with normal day to day activities and work full time another wedge resection July 2025 lobectomy on left lung 5th November still recovering but hoping my life again will be normal. Talk to consultants to find out what treatments are available for you please share how you are feeling with loved ones but remember YOU GOT THIS X
Thankyou for your words I’ve got to get a pet scan
they have said they won’t be able to do surgery due to fact I had a heart bypass in may they initially saw abnormalities in lung on a scan I had in February before the surgery but they never told me I only found this out because I had another heart attack in September they did a ct scan to check the grafts only to discover the surgery has not worked and the veins are still blocked
so basically went through that surgery for nothing the cardiologist asked me if anyone had mentioned about my lung which they had not because he said I should have had another scan within three months of them seeing that on my lung
So I got a further ct done last week and they told me today was lung cancer I really want to be back at work but with my heart problems and now this I don’t think that will happen
Oh my goodness that is awful poor you having to cope with heart problems as well not good medical professional mot explaining to you what is happening with your body have they given any idea on treatment can they do radiotherapy or chemotherapy I feel lucky in the fact my consultants and nurses keep me updated with all my treatments and seem to tell me straight away if they find anything wrong. I am so sorry you do not get updated on any changes. What area do you live in? X
