Lung cancer - just diagnosed and anxious about what happens next

Recently diagnosed with upper right lung cancer. Feeling anxious about what happens next

  • Hello Tedd

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about what happens next and what this news might mean for you.

We have some information about lung cancer on our website, which may be of help. If you've not already had additional tests, then it's possible that the specialists might want to request additional scans or investigations to get a clear overview of your health. They will then likely discuss your case at an MDT (multi-disciplinary team meeting), where the specialists will decide what recommendations they can give you regarding treatment.

We know that for many people, this period of waiting and uncertainty can be difficult. If you'd like to talk with one of our nurses, you're welcome to call them. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Hopefully you will have some answers soon Tedd. Keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We're here for you.

    Best wishes,
