Vulva cancer - recently diagnosed but worried it may have spread

I was diagnosed with Vulva cancer very worried that it might have spread going for a scan next week

  • I have had vulva cancer 3 years ago on the right side and I had surgery but I think it’s spread to the other side. I am having a biopsy under general anaesthetic this Tuesday. Then I have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for the results. I was told by my consultant in August that would be the only way to know for sure. I am in discomfort all the time and find ice packs the best relief. Urinating is painful I always wash after with. Portable bidet. Have you any tips? I am 75 how old are you?

  • I am 73 was only diagnoised last week I have it onthe left side how much had you to get removed

I am going for a scan next week.   Hope all goes well for you

  • Thanks. I have had lichen schelrosis for 40 years and treated that with topical steroids dermovate cream. I have had regular ultrasound scans which have been normal. How did you get your diagnosis was it a biopsy?
