Throat Cancer - 48 hours away from having my tonsil and lymph nodes from neck removed. So worried about how I will be after surgery

I'm less than 48 hours away from having surgery to have a tonsil removed and a number of lymph nodes from my neck. Then following pathology results likely facing 6 weeks of radiotherapy. I'm really worried about how I will be after the surgery, as expecting to have a feeding tube and trouble swallowing etc. I feel fine at the minute and knowing I'm facing months of feeling ill is hard to get my head round.
